Mama Creatives is a supportive community for creative mothers to connect, collaborate and flourish. It is all about giving mamas the spotlight so they can share their stories. It’s not about discussing over generalisations relating to mother guilt, or the work/life juggle. What we have in common is that we all have a story and sharing this is courageous. The role the creative process plays in overcoming our adversity is vital and life affirming.
Here are some short promo videos to give you a taste from the evening talks we have hosted.
From the extraordinary evening talk, ‘Motherhood & Magenta: Finding Inspiration after Loss’ presented by artist Susie Dureau, who shares her experiences as a creative mother and how her creative process allowed her to accept grief and loss, ultimately leading to a sense of hope and a career as an artist selling her remarkable paintings.
From the evening talk ‘Tired, Re-wired & Inspired: Motherhood meets Creative Process’, featuring Beth Taylor – artist, photographer, filmmaker & author of ‘You’re Doing Great, Baby’.
Leonie Percy is a yoga and mindfulness teacher, mama, podcaster, speaker and author of the bestselling book ‘Mother Om’. This video promo shows a little taste of the Creative Mama Evening Talk she presented, ‘Mindfulness for Creative Mamas’, while heavily pregnant with her gorgeous daughter.
