Jennifer Reid is a Sydney-based artist and illustrator, who likes to work both digitally and traditionally. She has been drawing for as long as she can remember holding a pencil.
Jennifer published her first children’s picture book endorsed by the National Breast Cancer Foundation in 2014 and since then has also self-published a series of mindfulness colouring books.
Jennifer accepts commission and wholesale enquiries for illustration, surface design, editorial, graphic design, corporate and advertising clients. She has been in business since 2010. She is fun to work with and prides herself on her organisation skills, professionalism and attention to detail.
Jennifer is also a teacher and has previously worked in radio, fashion retail, the beauty industry and banking & finance.
Between client work and personal projects, you’ll usually find Jennifer exploring the vibrant streets of Sydney or enjoying the simple pleasures of life with her treasured ones. This is where she finds much of the creative inspiration for her artistic works, which often include themes of travel and living an adventurous life.
Jennifer embarked on her successful career as an artist/illustrator after her personal experience of using art as therapy during a cancer diagnosis in 2009. To this day, she loves to share with others how art and creativity can be used as tools for healing, especially during difficult life challenges. It is her hope that others will be inspired to begin their own creative journey and find joy along the way, as she has.
Her favourite mantra is never stop dreaming and she loves the magic in words and affirmations and how they can effect your life in a positive way.
